Our History

Seasonal yoga training for teachers has been carried out since 2003 in the Chi yoga school in Glasgow and London, Julie Hanson being the co director and Sue Woodd being the senior lecturer. As it became more popular there was need for a training course which would allow for the subject to be covered in more depth.

The training of seasonal yoga teaching evolved when Sue, Julie, and Marit Griffith joined parties in 2010. They brought together their experience in not just yoga but in Pranayama, meditation, teaching skills, and Chinese medicine in order to provide the 200 hour Yoga Alliance course.
Over the years more than 250 students have been trained in Seasonal yoga. Seasonal yoga brings together the balance between health and yoga in Western cultures. There are now five locations in the U.K and Europe where you can study to become a teacher of seasonal yoga.

A SYTT 500 hour Yoga Alliance course will begin in 2016 & an affiliate Seasonal Teacher Training program that is open to Yoga studio owners will start in 2014.
